I’ve been creating ceremonies since 2006, when a good friend asked if I could marry her and her partner. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of overseeing hundreds of weddings. Over the years, I have gained experience doing all types of ceremonies – traditional, spiritual, interfaith, non-spiritual, and same gender. From elaborate weddings with hundreds of guests to intimate ceremonies ~ including a surprise elopement in my backyard!
My favourite part of this work is getting to know you and your story. Which is why, as a certified life coach and marriage preparation facilitator, I also love offering love & life coaching. I want to work with you to help create both your perfect wedding AND a strong foundation for your marriage!
I am honoured to be living in Aotearoa, New Zealand as a white Canadian settler and a queer cisgender female. My legal name is Chris-Ann, but I go by Charlie and I use she/her pronouns (do not call me Chris). When I’m not writing ceremonies, you can find me working at various non-profits that focus on social justice and building community. Or you may run into me at a local coffee shop studying or reading a good book, exploring rad places in nature with my partner, road tripping to the closest beach to play in the waves, or listening to my favourite music!
